Lead AWS Solutions Architect

About the Role

Nextwo Co. is seeking a Lead AWS Solutions Architect to join our team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position involves leading the design and delivery of secure, scalable, resilient, and cost-effective enterprise cloud solutions. The role requires 5-10 years of relevant experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and delivery of cloud solutions, ensuring they are secure, scalable, resilient, and cost-effective.
• Translate business requirements into practical technical solutions.
• Communicate architectural decisions effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Lead design reviews, evaluate solution options, and manage technical risks.
• Guide delivery teams through the implementation phase of projects.
• Produce clear architecture diagrams, design documents, migration plans, technical standards, and implementation guidance.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex architectural and implementation challenges.

Technical Expertise

• Strong knowledge of core AWS services, including EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, IAM, Elastic Load Balancing, Route 53, and CloudWatch.
• Expertise in cloud networking, hybrid connectivity, IAM, encryption, and secure architecture design.
• Experience designing highly available solutions and disaster recovery strategies against defined recovery objectives.
• Strong understanding and application of the AWS Well-Architected Framework, balancing security, reliability, performance, operational efficiency, and cost.
• Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform and/or AWS CloudFormation.
• Experience supporting DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure automation, monitoring, and operational readiness.

Leadership and Communication Skills

• Ability to translate business requirements into practical technical solutions.
• Effective communication of architectural decisions to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Experience leading design reviews, evaluating solution options, and managing technical risks.
• Strong stakeholder management, collaboration, mentoring, and vendor coordination skills.

Experience Requirements

Candidates should possess 5-10 years of experience in a relevant field, demonstrating a proven track record in AWS solutions architecture and leadership.
