About the Role

Team Saudi is seeking a Lead Coach Trap to join their team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position is responsible for the comprehensive planning, implementation, and evaluation of all sport-related activities within the Trap discipline, focusing on elite and development athletes of both genders. The role aims to establish a sustainable long-term high-performance pathway for the Trap discipline for Team Saudi.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement annual and multi-year performance plans for the Trap discipline.
  • Establish and maintain a consistent coaching philosophy, training methodology, and technical standards for the Trap program.
  • Lead technical planning for international competitions, training camps, and preparation cycles.
  • Monitor international trends, ISSF rule changes, and best practices relevant to the Trap discipline.
  • Lead day-to-day technical coaching under the direction of the Head Coach Shotgun (Trap & Skeet).
  • Coordinate the work of Specialist Coaches and performance-support staff for high-performance Trap athletes.
  • Provide discipline-specific technical guidance to coaches for beginner athletes and support athlete transition to the high-performance pathway.
  • Lead technical preparation for major international events, including World Cups, World Championships, Asian Championships, Asian Games, and Olympic qualification events.
  • Plan, organize, and supervise national team Trap training camps and weekly training processes.
  • Provide technical reports following competitions and camps.
  • Ensure appropriate competition schedules are developed for Trap athletes of both genders at different performance levels.

Athlete Support and Development

  • Oversee the preparation and performance of national team Trap athletes.
  • Develop and coordinate individual performance plans for elite and development Trap athletes.
  • Provide technical athlete selection recommendations in accordance with federation policies and approved performance criteria.
  • Monitor athlete progress through regular performance reviews, training data, and competition analysis.
  • Ensure effective transition of Trap athletes from development to elite levels.
  • Ensure specific development opportunities and appropriate support for female Trap athletes.

Collaboration and Learning

  • Actively participate in SOTC-learning & development programs and technical meetings.
  • Maintain a continuous learning approach to the cultural and performance requirements of working with emerging and elite Team Saudi athletes of both genders.
  • Work collaboratively with the Head Coach Shotgun, SOTC-High-Performance Director Shooting, Lead Coach Skeet, and other SOTC service experts.
  • Implement the overall shotgun coaching philosophy and technical standards while leading discipline-specific delivery.
  • Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to ensure consistency across the Team Saudi high-performance program.
  • Escalate operational or safety concerns to SOTC higher leadership structures.

Safety and Compliance

  • Adhere to SOPC safety guidelines, coaching standards, and ethical practices.
  • Ensure training and competition areas are safe, organized, and suitable for participants.
  • Support adherence to all SOPC policies and procedures during training activities and competitions.

Qualifications and Experience

  • 5-10 years of relevant experience.
  • Demonstrated integrity, professionalism, and commitment to maintaining a safe and respectful workplace.
