Lead Planning Manager Buildings Contractor

Overview of the Role

CG Resourcing Ltd is seeking a Lead Planning Manager to join an international contractor in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position involves working on the construction of a large-scale mixed-use entertainment venue. The successful candidate will lead and manage the planning team, ensuring effective program development, progress monitoring, critical path management, and timely project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, manage, and maintain the overall project baseline program and detailed construction schedules.
• Lead the planning function, coordinating with project management, engineering, procurement, commercial, and construction teams.
• Monitor project progress against approved programs, identifying delays, critical path impacts, and potential risks.
• Prepare detailed progress reports, dashboards, look-ahead programs, and management presentations.
• Undertake program analysis, delay assessments, mitigation strategies, and recovery planning.
• Coordinate subcontractor and supplier programs, ensuring alignment with the overall project schedule.
• Monitor procurement, design, engineering, construction, and commissioning interfaces.
• Identify program risks and proactively recommend solutions to protect key milestones.
• Lead program reviews and progress meetings with internal stakeholders and the client/consultant.
• Ensure compliance with contractual program requirements and reporting obligations.
• Provide strategic planning advice and support to the Project Director and senior management team.

Qualifications and Experience

• A proven track record of over 10 years working as a Planning Manager on large-scale, complex building or mixed-use developments.
• Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, high-profile project environment.
• A commercially aware and technically strong planning professional capable of combining detailed program management with a strategic overview of project delivery.
• Preference will be given to candidates currently in KSA who can transfer their visa.

Location and Work Type

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, working on an international contractor's project.
