About MDK Consultant and the Role

MDK Consultant is seeking a Lead Project Manager to join our team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position is central to the successful execution and delivery of major construction projects within the region and internationally. The role requires a highly experienced and results-driven professional to lead significant initiatives.

Role Purpose and Scope

The Lead Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing large-scale and complex construction projects. This involves providing strong and decisive leadership across all project phases, from engineering supervision to construction management and contracting. The successful candidate will ensure projects are delivered effectively, meeting established objectives and standards.

Core Responsibilities

  • Lead the successful execution and delivery of major construction projects.
  • Provide leadership in engineering supervision and construction management.
  • Manage projects within diverse contracting environments.
  • Oversee large-scale and complex projects in both Saudi Arabia and international markets.
  • Lead and coordinate multidisciplinary teams, consultants, contractors, and subcontractors.
  • Apply comprehensive knowledge across project planning, construction methodologies, contracts, budgets, schedules, quality, HSE, and risk management.

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 15 years of relevant professional experience.
  • Proven leadership in the execution and delivery of major, large-scale construction projects.
  • Extensive experience in engineering supervision, construction management, and contracting environments.
  • Demonstrated experience working on major projects in Saudi Arabia and international markets.
  • PMP certification or an equivalent professional qualification is preferred.

Essential Skills and Competencies

  • Ability to effectively lead and coordinate multidisciplinary teams, consultants, contractors, and subcontractors.
  • Comprehensive understanding of project planning, construction methodologies, contracts, budgets, schedules, quality assurance, Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE), and risk management.
  • Strong leadership, decision-making, communication, negotiation, and stakeholder-management skills.
