About the Role

St. Regis Hotels & Resorts is seeking a dedicated Life Guard to join their team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position involves ensuring the safety and enjoyment of guests within the swimming area, providing necessary assistance, and maintaining the cleanliness and order of the recreation facility. The successful candidate will contribute to a fun and relaxing atmosphere while strictly adhering to safety protocols and company standards. This role is suitable for individuals with 0-1 years of experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Utilize appropriate rescue techniques for swimmers requiring assistance.
• Monitor the swimming area for dangerous conditions, unusual or unsafe activities, and struggling swimmers.
• Enforce the rules and regulations of the recreation facility.
• Identify situations where guests cannot safely participate in an activity and inform supervisors or managers.
• Provide initial assistance to injured guests until emergency medical services arrive.
• Promote a fun and relaxing atmosphere for all guests.
• Obtain, fold, and stack towels in accordance with company procedures.
• Clean and maintain the pool deck, including washing and mopping.
• Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to management.
• Complete all required safety training and certifications.

• Adhere to all company policies and procedures, maintaining confidentiality of proprietary information and protecting company assets.
• Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards, ensuring a clean and professional uniform and personal appearance.
• Anticipate and address guests’ service needs, assist individuals with disabilities, and express genuine appreciation to guests.
• Communicate with colleagues and guests using clear and professional language.
• Support all co-workers and treat them with dignity and respect.
• Comply with all quality assurance expectations and standards.
• Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by management.

Required Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or *** equivalent.
• Experience: 0-1 years of related work experience; no supervisory experience required.
• Certifications:
  • CPR Certification
  • First Aid Certification
  • Fitness Equipment certification
  • Any additional certification or training required by local and state agencies.

Physical Demands

• Ability to visually inspect tools, equipment, or machines to identify defects.
• Capability to move at a speed required to respond to work situations, including running, walking, or jogging.
• Capacity to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods or an entire work shift.
• Ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance, and objects exceeding 75 pounds with assistance.
• Proficiency in grasping, turning, and manipulating objects of varying size and weight, requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.
• Aptitude to move over sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces, as well as ascend and descend ladders, stairs, and/or service ramps.
• Capability to reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
