Life Guard (Saudi Only)

About the Role

St. Regis is seeking a Life Guard (Saudi Only) to join their team in Riyadh. This full-time position requires individuals with 0-1 years of experience who are dedicated to ensuring the safety of swimmers and maintaining the recreation facility. The role demands vigilance, quick response capabilities, and strict adherence to established safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities

• Utilize appropriate rescue techniques when swimmers require assistance.
• Monitor the swimming area for dangerous conditions, unusual or unsafe activities, and struggling swimmers.
• Enforce the rules and regulations of the recreation facility.
• Identify situations where guests may not be able to safely participate in an activity and inform the supervisor or manager.
• Provide initial assistance to injured guests until emergency medical services arrive.
• Contribute to a fun and relaxing atmosphere for guests.
• Obtain, fold, and stack towels according to company procedures.
• Clean the pool deck by washing and mopping.

Operational Duties and Professional Conduct

• Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to the manager; complete all required safety training and certifications.
• Adhere to company policies and procedures; maintain confidentiality of proprietary information and protect company assets.
• Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards; ensure a clean and professional uniform and personal appearance; anticipate and address guests’ service needs; assist individuals with disabilities; thank guests with genuine appreciation.
• Communicate professionally and clearly with others.
• Support all co-workers and treat them with dignity and respect.
• Comply with quality assurance expectations and standards.

Physical Requirements

• Visually inspect tools, equipment, or machines to identify defects.
• Move at a speed required to respond to work situations, including running, walking, or jogging.
• Stand, sit, or walk for extended periods or an entire work shift.
• Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance, and objects exceeding 75 pounds with assistance.
• Grasp, turn, and manipulate objects of varying size and weight, requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.
• Navigate sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces, as well as ascend and descend ladders, stairs, and service ramps.
• Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
• Perform other reasonable job duties as requested.

Qualifications and Certifications

• High school diploma or * equivalent.
• No prior related work experience is required.
• No supervisory experience is required.
• Current CPR Certification.
• Current First Aid Certification.
• Fitness Equipment certification.
• Any additional certification or training required by local and state agencies.
