Logistics Assistant

About the Role

Saudi Arabian Trading and Construction Company (SATCO) is seeking a Logistics Assistant to join one of its giga projects in Riyadh. This full-time role involves leading a frontline logistics crew and executing daily material movement, access, housekeeping, and site-support tasks safely and efficiently.

Job Purpose

The primary purpose of this role is to supervise logistics operations on-site, ensuring the smooth and efficient flow of materials and maintaining site organization. The Logistics Assistant will be responsible for overseeing crew activities and coordinating various logistical aspects to support project requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive daily instructions, brief the assigned crew, allocate tasks, and confirm the availability of tools, PPE, and permits.
• Supervise the unloading, internal transport, distribution, stacking, protection, and removal of materials and waste.
• Coordinate banksmen, flagmen, helpers, and access control around deliveries and mobile plant.
• Maintain clear roads, walkways, emergency routes, laydown areas, loading zones, and work-front access.
• Check lifting accessories and manual-handling arrangements within the team scope and report defects immediately.
• Verify attendance, productivity, housekeeping, and completion of assigned tasks.
• Escalate clashes, unsafe conditions, damaged materials, access restrictions, and resource needs to the supervisor.
• Participate in toolbox talks, inspections, and incident or near-miss reviews.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 2 to 5 years of experience in a relevant logistics role.
• Demonstrated ability to lead a frontline crew.
• Understanding of material movement, site access, and housekeeping procedures.

Work Environment

This role is based in Riyadh and involves working on a giga project site, requiring direct supervision of logistics operations and coordination with various teams.
