The Role of Logistics Supervisor

The Logistics Supervisor is responsible for coordinating the end-to-end movement, storage, and setup of materials, equipment, and technology requirements for events. This full-time position, based in Riyadh, ensures that all necessary resources are sourced, transported, installed, and dismantled on time and within budget. The supervisor manages a team of logistics personnel and works closely with the workshop team, vendors, and site managers to facilitate seamless activity.

Key Responsibilities

• Workshop & Event Planning: Develop detailed logistics plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and material requirements for events. Create and manage detailed kit lists for event materials and equipment. Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment.
• On-Site Supervision & Execution: Supervise and manage the logistics for event setup, operation, and dismantling. Ensure compliance with health and safety standards across all logistics phases. Act as the primary point of contact for technical or logistics problems during the event.
• Inventory & Asset Management: Manage the inventory, storage, and maintenance of all event-related materials, ensuring equipment is operational at all times. Conduct inventory audits, cycle counts, and report on stock levels.
• Team & Vendor Management: Lead and train logistics staff and assign daily tasks according to schedule. Manage third-party logistics providers (3PL) and vendors to ensure Service Level Agreement (SLA) compliance.
• Budgeting & Reporting: Assist in developing and adhering to budgets for logistics operations. Analyze logistics data to identify process improvements for better efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

Required Experience

Candidates for the Logistics Supervisor position should possess 5-10 years of experience in logistics management. This experience should demonstrate a proven ability to manage complex event logistics from planning through execution.

Work Environment and Physical Demands

• Environment: The role requires working in a workshop environment, which may involve exposure to loud noise, dust, and heat, in addition to on-site installation work.
• Hours: Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays may be necessary to meet event deadlines.
• Physical Requirements: The ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage tight deadlines, and perform on-site tasks is essential. This may include lifting, standing for long periods, and working in varied conditions.
