Maintenance Engineer / Facilities supervisor Reliability Maintenance Engineering

About the Role

Amazon Saudi Arabia is seeking a Maintenance Engineer / Facilities Supervisor, Reliability Maintenance Engineering, to join their team in Riyadh. This full-time role focuses on ensuring adherence to safety regulations and policies, timely and high-standard preventative maintenance, and achieving high levels of equipment availability through continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Prioritize health and safety best practices in all work, ensuring compliance with all health and safety standards and regulations.
• Develop preventive and predictive maintenance for Fulfillment Center (FC) assets, including material handling and automation systems.
• Act as a safety ambassador within the team and promote safe working practices across the site.
• Manage day-to-day engineering and soft services, including housekeeping and premises upkeep.
• Manage Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) and statutory compliance for the FC, including waste management and hazardous waste management as per bylaws, and timely renewal of licenses.
• Oversee day-to-day facility operations, including conveyor system maintenance.
• Supervise maintenance work and sub-contractors.
• Ensure the implementation of facility systems checks through a computerized maintenance management system.
• Provide technical guidance for Material Handling Equipment (MHE) and Building & Beyond (BB) maintenance.
• Support technicians by motivating, providing knowledge, and hands-on experience.
• Develop and maintain effective working relationships across all levels of the organization.
• Provide constructive feedback to enhance individual performance.
• Prioritize and manage resources effectively under high-pressure situations.

Required Experience and Skills

• Experience in installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting any of the following: relay logic, ladder diagrams, controls components, sensors & scanners, motor starters, relays, limit switches, electronic sensors, servo drives, frequency inverters, linear drives, sorters, and mechanical components (rolls, bearings, belts).

Work Environment

This role involves working a non-traditional shift pattern, which may include nights and weekends.
