Maintenance Engineer

About the Role

Al Watania For Industries is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to join their team in Riyadh. This full-time role involves leading maintenance activities and ensuring the reliable operation of production lines across various manufacturing sectors. The position requires 2-5 years of relevant experience.

Role Context

The Maintenance Engineer will be responsible for overseeing maintenance operations within Al Watania For Industries' production facilities. Openings are available in Plastic, CAN Making (Steel & Metal), and Paper products manufacturing, requiring hands-on experience in one of these areas.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and manage preventive and predictive maintenance programs for production machines and utilities.
• Lead troubleshooting for complex mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic breakdowns.
• Supervise and guide maintenance technicians during shifts, repairs, and shutdowns.
• Conduct root cause analysis of repeated failures and implement corrective actions.
• Manage spare parts planning, critical stock levels, and tooling and die maintenance.
• Support machine installations, modifications, changeovers, and startups.
• Track maintenance KPIs such as MTBF, MTTR, and downtime, and prepare reports.
• Enforce safety and lockout/tagout procedures at all times.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronics Engineering.
• 1 to 7 years of hands-on maintenance experience in Plastic, CAN Making (Steel & Metal), or Paper manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical control systems, and PLCs.
• Ability to read technical drawings, electrical schematics, and machine manuals.
• Willingness to work shifts.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with CMMS or SAP PM.
• PLC programming (Siemens / Allen-Bradley).
• Experience with TPM or reliability-centered maintenance.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh, requiring on-site presence within Al Watania For Industries' manufacturing facilities. The role involves working in a dynamic production environment and may include shift work.
