About the Role

Alfanar is seeking a Sr. Mechanical Maintenance Engineer for their facility in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role focuses on ensuring the reliability, availability, and safe operation of mechanical production equipment. The engineer will be responsible for effective preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement initiatives, with the goal of minimizing downtime and optimizing maintenance costs.

Key Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and resolve breakdowns in mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment.
• Provide technical support during critical breakdowns to minimize operational downtime.
• Coordinate with Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) and suppliers for technical support, repairs, and spare parts.
• Develop and execute preventive maintenance plans, inspections, and checklists.
• Monitor equipment condition, identify potential failures, and analyze recurring issues to implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Maintain accurate maintenance and equipment records.
• Identify critical spare parts to ensure equipment availability and coordinate procurement with suppliers.
• Support the identification of alternative suppliers to improve availability and reduce costs.
• Read and interpret hydraulic and pneumatic diagrams.
• Troubleshoot mechanical systems, including rotating equipment, pumps, gearboxes, bearings, valves, and conveyors.
• Conduct root-cause analysis and recommend effective corrective actions.
• Support equipment modifications and reliability improvements.
• Coordinate maintenance activities with production teams to minimize disruption.
• Prioritize maintenance tasks based on equipment criticality and production needs.
• Coordinate specialized maintenance activities with contractors and service providers.
• Perform maintenance activities in accordance with safety procedures and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) requirements.
• Ensure maintenance work meets quality, safety, and regulatory standards.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized working environment.

• Ensure quality requirements are met to develop effective quality control and processes, including specifications for products, processes, or related activities.
• Coordinate well-defined written systems, policies, and procedures, and seek automation opportunities.
• Comply with relevant policies, procedures, and work instructions.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental management procedures and controls within the defined area of work activity.

Qualifications and Experience

• 5-10 years of relevant experience in mechanical maintenance.
