Job Description
About the Role
Napco National is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to join their team in Dammam, Eastern Region. This full-time role requires 2-5 years of experience and focuses on ensuring the efficient operation and maintenance of machinery and equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute assigned maintenance tasks and projects, including machine repairs, new machine commissioning, and validation activities.
- Assist in troubleshooting breakdowns and performing preventive maintenance (PM).
- Design specific machine upgrades (electrical or mechanical) and oversee project execution after approval.
- Document task details, completion status, and new observations; submit Repair Request Forms (RRF) for pending issues.
- Coordinate with the Maintenance Unit Head/Manager for resource allocation and with the Store for critical spare parts delivery, escalating any delays.
- Prepare and submit Spare Parts Requisition Forms as needed.
- Analyze maintenance data, including repetitive breakdowns, PM delays, and spare part consumption, to propose action plans and improvements.
- Perform in-house calibration tasks and coordinate outsourced calibration activities with the Local Purchasing Unit (LPC).
- Ensure timely availability of external calibration agencies, oversee tasks, follow up on certificates, and update the Calibration Master File.
Safety and Compliance
- Adhere to all NAPCO-IFP safety procedures and attend required safety meetings.
- Enforce company health and safety policies among the team and monitor compliance.
- Conduct risk assessments and ensure emergency response protocols are understood.
- Report and act upon unsafe acts, conditions, or near-misses immediately.
- Participate in cross-auditing and ensure adherence to plant hazard control standards.
- Conduct daily safety talks in assigned work areas and perform 5S duties to maintain a safe environment.
- Ensure all subordinates are trained on safe work practices and identify unsafe conditions for immediate corrective action.
- Lock out unsafe equipment until repaired and deemed safe.
- Actively participate in safety audits, emergency drills, and 5S implementation.
Internal and External Interfaces
This role involves regular interaction with various internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth operations and project completion.
- Internal: Maintenance Team, Production Team, Store & Spare Parts Team, Health & Safety Department.
- External: Local Purchasing Unit (LPC), External Calibration Agencies.
Working Conditions
- Candidates must be in good physical condition and capable of working under pressure.
- Willingness to work alternating shifts is required.
- Adherence to all local labor laws and NAPCO-IFP safety policies is mandatory.
