About the Role at Qiddiya | القدية

Qiddiya | القدية is seeking a Manager Operational Readiness to join its team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position is critical for ensuring the seamless transition of large-scale assets from development to operational status. The role requires a professional with 5-10 years of experience in operational readiness or related fields.

Role Purpose and Scope

The Manager Operational Readiness will develop, maintain, and govern the integrated Operational Readiness (OR) schedule. This involves ensuring that all OR activities, milestones, and dependencies are precisely aligned with asset delivery timelines, trial operations, and official opening dates. The incumbent will serve as the central authority for OR program scheduling, providing early visibility of potential risks to readiness milestones.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain the integrated OR master schedule using Primavera P6, encompassing all readiness workstreams such as workforce mobilisation, training, systems readiness, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), permits and licensing, Furniture, Fixtures & Equipment (FF&E) / Operating Supplies & Equipment (OS&E), trial operations, and handover processes.
  • Align OR schedules with project delivery milestones, stage gates, and asset opening dates, while maintaining effective interfaces with Project Management Office (PMO) and delivery partner schedules.
  • Develop comprehensive countdown plans and T-minus schedules for asset openings, including phases for trial operations and soft openings.
  • Track progress against established baselines, identify any schedule slippage or critical path impacts, and escalate risks to readiness milestones with proposed recovery options.
  • Produce detailed scheduling reports, dashboards, and lookaheads utilizing Power BI and Excel for OR leadership and governance forums.
  • Coordinate schedule inputs from various functional leads and consolidate updates on an agreed cadence.
  • Maintain rigorous schedule change control, baseline management, and thorough documentation of all assumptions and dependencies.
  • Support workforce ramp-up planning by aligning recruitment, onboarding, and training timelines with operational need dates.

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • Demonstrated hands-on expertise with Primavera P6, including baseline and change control on complex programs.
  • Experience supporting asset openings, trial operations, or commissioning-to-operations transitions is strongly preferred.
