The Role of Manager - Policies and Processes

The Manager - Policies and Processes is responsible for developing and maintaining standardized procurement policies and processes. This role aims to enhance efficiency, ensure compliance, and align operations with organizational goals. Key functions include establishing governance structures, driving process improvement initiatives, and supporting strategic decision-making through data insights. The Manager also oversees the effective communication, implementation, and training on new policies and processes across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the creation, review, and standardization of procurement policies, procedures, and processes to ensure alignment with strategic objectives.
• Establish governance frameworks for policy approval, updates, and enforcement.
• Identify and address gaps in existing processes by leveraging data analytics and best practices.
• Recommend innovative solutions for process improvement based on data insights.
• Monitor the impact of policy and process changes on operational efficiency and compliance.
• Support the completion of audits and reviews to ensure adherence to established policies and processes.
• Drive the implementation of standardized policies through effective communication and training programs.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure policy compliance and alignment with organizational objectives.
• Work closely with Learning & Development teams to design and deliver targeted training programs on standardized policies and processes.
• Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture within the team.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Construction Project Management, Business, or a related field.
• A minimum of 9 years of experience in policy governance, process management, or similar roles.
• Experience in large-scale projects such as construction, real estate, or urban development is preferred.

Skills and Attributes

• Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify process gaps and propose effective solutions.
• Demonstrated experience working in cross-collaborative environments, ensuring alignment of diverse goals with overarching organizational strategy.
• An understanding of the local cultural and business landscape in Saudi Arabia, gained through work experience in the region, is preferred.
