Mechanical Engineer Data Centre

About the Role

Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer - Data Centre to support the construction supervision of Hyperscale Data Center and Mission-Critical Infrastructure projects across the Middle East, specifically in Riyadh. This full-time role involves overseeing the installation, testing, and commissioning of mechanical systems to ensure compliance with project specifications, quality standards, and operational requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise mechanical construction activities throughout project execution.
• Review contractor shop drawings, material submittals, method statements, and technical documentation.
• Monitor the installation and testing of chilled water systems, cooling plants, HVAC systems, CRAH units, CRAC units, fuel systems, plumbing services, fire protection systems, and associated infrastructure.
• Ensure compliance with mission-critical design requirements and redundancy standards.
• Coordinate mechanical works with electrical, ICT, structural, architectural, and commissioning disciplines.
• Support testing, commissioning, integrated systems testing, and handover activities.
• Inspect completed works and verify compliance with approved specifications and quality standards.
• Participate in project meetings and technical reviews.

Required Experience

• Candidates should possess 8-10 years of experience in mechanical engineering, particularly within data centre or mission-critical infrastructure projects.

Work Environment

This is a full-time, onsite position based in Riyadh. Employees are expected to attend a Jacobs Workplace on a full-time basis, as required by the nature of the role.
