Mechanical Estimation Engineer

About the Role

Abyatona Contracting & Development is seeking a Mechanical Estimation Engineer to join their team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position involves preparing detailed cost estimates for mechanical works within various projects, ensuring accuracy and compliance with project specifications.

Key Responsibilities

• Review tender documents, drawings, specifications, Bills of Quantities (BOQs), and contractual requirements to define the scope of mechanical works.
• Prepare detailed quantity take-offs and cost estimates for mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, firefighting, and other relevant MEP works.
• Analyze project requirements to identify potential cost-saving opportunities and value engineering solutions.
• Develop detailed breakdowns of material, labor, equipment, and subcontractor costs.
• Request, evaluate, and compare quotations from suppliers and subcontractors to ensure competitive pricing.
• Coordinate with procurement, engineering, commercial, and project teams to obtain accurate pricing and technical information.
• Identify discrepancies, omissions, and potential risks in tender documents, and prepare relevant clarifications and qualifications.
• Develop and maintain cost databases, estimation records, and pricing benchmarks.
• Assist in preparing technical and commercial tender submissions in accordance with project requirements and deadlines.
• Support tender reviews, cost analysis, and post-tender clarifications.
• Ensure estimates comply with project specifications, applicable standards, and company procedures.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 5 to 10 years of experience in mechanical estimation.
• Demonstrated ability to review complex tender documents and specifications.
• Proficiency in preparing detailed cost breakdowns and quantity take-offs.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, within a contracting and development company focused on delivering various projects.
