Aircraft Sheet Metal Technician

  • Point person for the evaluation of aircraft structural damage for various sheet metal tasks
  • Knowledge and ability to read and interpret aircraft manuals
  • Repair/replace aircraft structural components according to drawings, blueprints, directives, technical manuals, and safety procedures
  • Perform sheet metal bends to guidelines and specifications as dictated in normal aviation practices Remove existing rivets from aircraft structure
  • Work with and around a variety of chemicals and follow all OSHA standards in regard to PPE Build components for aircraft applications using a variety of sheet metal materials
  • Inspect and repair aircraft sheet metal components
  • Install sheet metal components on aircraft
  • Fabricate sheet metal components for aircraft
  • Drill, ream and countersink holes on aircraft components
  • Perform riveting and other fastening techniques

Requirements

  • GOSI Registration Required
  • Requires 2-5 Years experience
