The Role of MEP Manager (Design)

FPA is seeking an MEP Manager (Design) to lead and oversee all Mechanical and Electrical engineering design activities. This full-time position is based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and requires ensuring that all MEP solutions are technically rigorous, coordinated, and compliant with relevant codes across all project stages, from Concept Design through to IFC.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead MEP design delivery across Concept Design (CD), Schematic Design (SD), Detailed Design (DD), Issued for Tender (IFT), and Issued for Construction (IFC) stages.
• Review and approve MEP design packages, ensuring technical quality and compliance with relevant Saudi and international codes and standards.
• Lead multidisciplinary design coordination across MEP, Architecture, and other engineering disciplines, including BIM and clash detection.
• Manage and develop MEP engineering teams in Riyadh and Cairo, including workload planning, performance, and technical development.
• Oversee project programs, resources, and delivery, resolving technical and program risks across the MEP portfolio.
• Represent the MEP function in client meetings, design reviews, and technical discussions.
• Establish and maintain MEP QA/QC processes and engineering standards across the business.
• Support senior leadership with MEP recruitment, team growth, project pursuits, and business development.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 10 years of experience in MEP design and management.
• Demonstrated experience in leading MEP design activities for major commercial, residential, and mixed-use developments.
• Strong understanding of Saudi and international engineering codes and standards.
• Experience with BIM and multidisciplinary design coordination.

Work Environment

This role is a full-time position based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, with responsibilities extending to team management in Cairo. The successful candidate will work within a leading engineering and design consultancy environment.
