Night Manager

About the Role

The Ritz-Carlton in Riyadh is seeking a Night Manager to oversee all property operations during the overnight shift. This full-time role involves serving as the Manager on Duty, ensuring high levels of hospitality and service, and representing property management in resolving guest or property-related situations. The Night Manager will personally assist in resolving issues and completing tasks to uphold the brand's "Gold Standards."

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and ensure compliance with all Guidelines to Operations.
• Ensure supervisors maintain adequate levels of department supplies.
• Verify that all employees are in proper uniform and are properly groomed according to standards.
• Ensure employees are working in a safe environment and promote participation in property safety-related programs.
• Manage all period-end inventories.
• Direct, monitor, and assist all overnight staff.
• Ensure guest tracking scores and employee opinion survey goals are achieved.
• Review financial statements, sales and activity reports, and other performance data to measure productivity and goal achievement.
• Assist in the response and resolution of all guest issues.
• Assist the accounts receivable clerk in all aspects of the job, ensuring invoices due remain below 60 days.
• Monitor that supervisors research and process all chargebacks and rebates on a timely basis, administering plans to minimize them.
• Ensure all employees adhere to proper cash handling procedures and monitor overage/shortages.
• Manage employee hours, attendance, and record absences/tardiness.
• Work with the leadership team to identify and implement action plans to prevent reoccurrence of guest issues.
• Promote teamwork and employee morale, encouraging employee relations through various initiatives.
• Ensure all employees are trained on specific job aspects and are aware of problem-solving resources.
• Keep employees informed regarding new operational procedures, standards, or programs.
• Ensure all employees have complete knowledge of emergency procedures and that constant communication occurs between staff and management.
• Provide orientation for new employees and ensure all information is entered into the computer system.
• Help direct supervisors achieve their development goals.
• Create incentives to promote better service and profit for the property.
• Assist the operations manager in processing employee payroll weekly.
• Solicit employee feedback, utilize an "open door policy," and review employee satisfaction results to address concerns.
• Ensure property policies are administered fairly and consistently, and disciplinary procedures are completed according to SOPs and LSOPs.
• Conduct annual performance appraisals with direct reports according to Standard Operating Procedures.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 5-10 years of experience in a relevant hospitality management role.
• Demonstrated ability to direct property operations and ensure high service standards.
• Experience in resolving guest and property-related situations effectively.
• Proficiency in reviewing financial statements and performance data.
