Soum is currently scaling its electronics vertical significantly and is seeking an Operations Manager to lead this expansion in Riyadh.

The Role: Operations Manager — Electronics Vertical

This full-time role is a high-ownership, high-impact position central to Soum's electronics business. The Operations Manager will be responsible for building, scaling, and continuously improving end-to-end operations, from inbound inventory and quality control through to last-mile delivery and customer fulfillment. This role requires setting the operational tempo, defining standards, and ensuring execution. We are looking for a professional who approaches operations with precision, discipline, and conviction, capable of building systems and teams that provide full visibility and control without micromanagement. The ideal candidate takes complete ownership, acts decisively, and drives results.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, launch, and scale operational processes for the electronics vertical, enhancing existing operations or building new ones from the ground up.
• Establish standard operating procedures, performance benchmarks, and quality frameworks to support rapid growth.
• Oversee the full operational lifecycle, including inventory management, warehousing, quality inspection, dispatch, and last-mile delivery.
• Define key performance indicators (KPIs), build dashboards, and utilize data daily for problem diagnosis and decision-making.
• Apply quantitative thinking to identify bottlenecks, forecast demand, optimize capacity, and allocate resources effectively.
• Actively identify and integrate AI tools and automation into operational workflows to increase speed, accuracy, and team output.
• Manage multiple operational projects simultaneously with clear plans, defined milestones, and tracked progress.
• Anticipate risks before they become problems and develop contingency plans.
• Drive cross-functional alignment with Product, Tech, Commercial, and Customer Experience teams to achieve shared goals.
• Build, develop, and lead an operations team, setting high standards, providing clear direction, and ensuring accountability.

Qualifications and Experience

• 4–5+ years of progressive operations experience, ideally in e-commerce, last-mile delivery, logistics, or a related high-throughput environment.
• Demonstrated track record of building large-scale operations from scratch or significantly scaling existing ones.
• Deeply quantitative, comfortable with data, and capable of building or interpreting analytical models to guide decisions.
• Genuine interest in AI, following developments, experimenting with new tools, and applying them to operational challenges.
• Proficiency with operational tooling and tech stacks relevant to e-commerce and logistics environments.
• Familiarity with the Saudi market and its operational dynamics is strongly preferred.
