Role Overview: Package Manager (C&A)
The Package Manager (C&A) is responsible for coordinating and liaising with specialized subcontractors, company departments, and clients. This role focuses on all issues related to contractual designs, shop drawings, material submittals, and approvals for each package under their responsibility. This is a full-time position based in Riyadh.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and liaise with specialized subcontractors, company departments, and clients on all contractual designs, shop drawings, material submittals, and approvals for assigned packages.
- Support the development of KSA national employees to achieve corporate objectives, Saudization targets, and knowledge dissemination.
- Provide input to Human Resources on succession planning, employee career growth, and organizational structure.
- Manage team affairs in adherence to standards of respect, integrity, accountability, agility, quality, safety, and corporate governance.
- Ensure compliance with the Code of Ethics policy and promote company values among all employees.
- Manage the adoption and utilization of systems and ERP within the function.
- Represent the organization and enhance relationships with clients, consultants, and regulatory authorities.
- Perform on-site oversight of civil design and installation by the general contractor.
- Conduct field investigations, provide field inspections, and prepare associated reports.
- Receive, review, coordinate, track, and process RFIs.
- Prepare change order packages, including independent estimates and final recommendations.
- Collaborate with Project Controls Engineers to ensure robust, resourced, and risk-assessed programs for package delivery.
- Work with design engineers, quantity surveyors, and procurement expeditors to ensure seamless integration from design completion to handover.
- Assess all Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment (QHSE) risks and fulfill information security requirements.
- Monitor, review, and report on package or sub-project requirements and achievements.
- Undertake regular reviews of supply chain/sub-contractors’ methods of work.
- Monitor works to ensure compliance with agreed systems of work and statutory inspections.
- Identify training needs for project teams and ensure a plan is provided.
- Utilize recording tools and data to maintain an accurate position of the project program.
- Ensure each package subcontractor is aware of their scope of works and contractual obligations.
- Liaise with package subcontractors to align with the project schedule, material submittals, and shop drawings.
- Coordinate with Engineering and Procurement departments for discrepancies, modifications, and changes.
- Follow up to obtain approvals on all material submittals, samples, shop drawings, and mock-ups, including preparing logs and reports.
- Coordinate with package subcontractors for RFI submissions related to method statements, material, and shop drawings.
- Manage the full package from start to completion and follow up on the closure of all related NCRs.
- Interface and coordinate with other package managers and monitor team progress.
Qualifications and Experience
- Demonstrated technical competence in civil and architectural works within the construction industry.
- 8 years of experience in a relevant role.
