The Role of Presales Engineer

IDEMIA is seeking a Presales Engineer to join its team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role involves combining technical expertise, solution design, and customer engagement. The Presales Engineer will support the sales lifecycle from initial customer discussions through proof of concepts, demonstrations, and solution delivery. The role requires close collaboration with Sales, Product Management, Partners, and System Integrators, acting as a technical advisor to help customers understand how IDEMIA solutions meet their operational and business requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the Regional Sales Director during customer meetings and business development activities.
• Deliver technical presentations, workshops, and demonstrations of IDEMIA solutions.
• Answer customer technical questions and articulate IDEMIA’s key differentiators.
• Lead technical discovery sessions to understand customer requirements and business challenges.
• Support Proof of Concept (POC) activities from planning through to completion.
• Configure and deploy IDEMIA products and solutions for demonstrations and POCs.
• Act as the primary technical contact for customers, partners, and system integrators during evaluations and POCs.
• Define solution architectures and recommend suitable products and services to meet customer requirements.
• Prepare technical documentation, solution designs, and customer presentations.
• Work closely with Product Management to communicate customer feedback and market requirements.
• Monitor competitor activity and industry trends, providing recommendations for product evolution.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Product, Support, and Sales teams to resolve technical issues.
• Support project handover activities as required.
• Provide accurate weekly and monthly activity reporting.

Qualifications and Requirements

• 5-10 years of experience in a relevant field.
• Previous experience within biometrics, identity management, physical access control, or security solutions.
• Native or fluent Arabic language skills.
• Strong English communication skills.

Work Environment and Travel

This role is based in Riyadh, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. It requires regular travel across Saudi Arabia and may involve regional travel within the wider Middle East to support customer engagements, demonstrations, and proof of concepts.
