About the Role
Edvectus is seeking a Private Female Secondary English Teacher to provide bespoke English education to a high-profile family in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role involves delivering a comprehensive English Literature and Language program to students from Grades 8 to 12.
Role Context and Curriculum
The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching English Literature and Language to a small group of 2 to 4 children, ranging from Grades 8 to 12. The curriculum is Cambridge-based, incorporating project-based learning to foster academic excellence and student-centred engagement. Teaching duties will include a combination of daytime and after-school sessions.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver English Literature and Language instruction for students in Grades 8 through 12.
- Implement a Cambridge-based curriculum, integrating project-based learning methodologies.
- Provide student support through both daytime and after-school teaching sessions.
- Collaborate with the Curriculum Coordinator, fellow subject specialists, and the students' schools.
- Teach a small group of 2 to 4 students.
- Undertake occasional travel within Saudi Arabia as required.
Candidate Requirements
This position is open to female applicants only, in adherence to local regulations and cultural requirements.
- Bachelor's degree in English Literature, English Language, or a related field.
- Recognised teaching qualification (*, PGCE, **, or equivalent).
- First-language or near-native proficiency in English.
- Minimum of two years' Secondary/High School English teaching experience.
- Experience teaching English Literature and Language to GCSE level is strongly preferred.
- Familiarity with Cambridge, British, IB, Australian, New Zealand, Canadian, or US curricula.
- Demonstrated flexibility, professionalism, adaptability, and cultural sensitivity.
Compensation and Benefits
The compensation package for this role includes:
- Tax-free salary of 20,000–25,000 SAR per month.
