About the Role

HanmiGlobal Saudi is seeking an experienced Procurement Engineer to join its program management and PMCM team in Riyadh. This full-time position will involve facilitating the tracking, coordination, and reporting of procurement operations for a large-scale, multi-work package land and infrastructure development program. The role is critical in supporting the successful delivery of the program on behalf of a major government entity.

Role Context and Responsibilities

The Procurement Engineer will provide program-level coordination, tracking support, and operational oversight for procurement activities. This includes ensuring that all procurement plans, long-lead item logs, and supplier compliance metrics align with approved project schedules, technical requirements, contractual obligations, and overall program delivery objectives.

  • Review procurement plans, schedules, and sourcing activities to ensure alignment with program milestones and construction needs.
  • Monitor procurement progress, identify potential delays, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Track the procurement status of long-lead materials, equipment, and specialist systems.
  • Monitor manufacturing, logistics, delivery schedules, and supply chain performance to identify risks.
  • Support the development and implementation of procurement mitigation and recovery plans.
  • Maintain procurement registers, tracking logs, databases, and performance records.
  • Prepare procurement dashboards, executive reports, KPI summaries, and performance analyses.
  • Review procurement documentation for compliance with procedures, governance, and contractual obligations.
  • Coordinate procurement activities with Planning & Scheduling, Technical, Commercial, and Project Controls teams.
  • Assist in identifying procurement-related risks and supporting contingency planning.
  • Participate in procurement review meetings, workshops, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates should possess a strong background in procurement and project delivery. The role requires a minimum of ten years of professional experience in relevant fields.

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of ten (10) years of professional experience in procurement, supply chain management, infrastructure delivery, construction, urban development, or major capital projects.
  • Experience within PMCM, PMC, consultancy, developer, contractor, or client-side organizations, preferably on major land development and infrastructure projects in Saudi Arabia or the GCC.
