About the Procurement Engineer Role

UCC Holding is seeking a Procurement Engineer to join their team in Riyadh. This full-time position involves overseeing the purchase of technical equipment essential for industrial operations. The role requires close collaboration with design teams to identify necessary equipment for manufacturing or construction projects, vendor research, and order placement.

Key Responsibilities

• Contribute to the development of procurement management strategies and practices to maximize value.
• Ensure understanding of strategic business relationships to align with business plans and strategies.
• Provide market insights to stakeholders and business units.
• Collaborate with the team in formulating strategic plans that capture total procurement value for a competitive edge.
• Contribute to the creation and implementation of best practice procurement vision, strategy, policies, processes, and procedures to improve operational performance.
• Engage and collaborate with key internal and external stakeholders to develop strong relationships that improve service, reduce supply costs, and ensure optimal performance.
• Support senior functional leaders in establishing short and long-term business objectives.
• Utilize expert industry knowledge and advanced business models to develop strategies and structures for business relationships.
• Ensure clear understanding of measurable goals for continuous procurement improvement, using financial and quantitative data to manage performance.
• Assist in the implementation of best practice purchasing policies, processes, and procedures to improve business performance, deliver best value, and achieve financial targets.
• Maintain and update information on suppliers, materials, and services that meet business requirements.
• Enhance procurement talent within the team through attraction, development, and retention of resources.
• Provide regular feedback through coaching and mentoring to build professional expertise and a motivated team responsible for interfacing with internal stakeholders and external third parties.
• Adhere to department long-term cost reduction and value improvement plans for specific spend areas.

Qualifications and Experience

• A Bachelor's degree in Civil or Architectural Engineering is required.
• A minimum of 8 years of working experience is necessary.
• At least 5 years of relevant working experience is essential.
• 2 years of experience in the GCC region is considered a plus.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh. The role involves working within a team environment focused on industrial procurement operations.
