About Lucidya and the Product Designer Role

Lucidya is an AI-native platform focused on customer experience (CX) intelligence, enabling organizations to understand their customers and take action across the entire customer lifecycle. Our platform integrates products such as Social Listening, OmniServe, Survey, and AI Agent, assisting enterprise organizations in the region to convert customer data into enhanced experiences and measurable business outcomes. We are seeking a Product Designer to join our team in Riyadh, Riyadh Province, for a full-time position.

The Design Challenge at Lucidya

As Lucidya scales, our products are becoming more sophisticated, and customer demands are increasing. Design plays a crucial role in ensuring that this complexity does not become a customer burden. This role requires a designer who can own problems from beginning to end, moving beyond mere execution. You will address ambiguous customer and business problems, collaborating with Product and Engineering to define objectives, explore various approaches, and drive the design process through implementation and iteration.

The work involves designing for products that incorporate significant data, complex workflows, AI-powered functionality, and bilingual experiences. The primary challenge is to make these products easy to understand, efficient to use, and genuinely useful for enterprise customers, rather than solely focusing on visual appeal.

Core Responsibilities

• Own design problems end-to-end, from understanding the problem and defining the user experience through wireframes, prototypes, high-fidelity UI, handoff, implementation, and post-launch iteration.
• Transform ambiguity into clarity by collaborating with Product, Engineering, Research, and stakeholders to understand the underlying problem and determine what needs to be solved.
• Design for outcomes, not outputs, challenging solutions that do not clearly improve the customer's experience and using research, data, and customer feedback to validate designs.
• Partner closely with Product and Engineering, engaging early to help shape what gets built and work through technical and product constraints without losing sight of the customer.
• Raise the quality of our products by contributing to Lucidya's design system and helping create consistency across products, while knowing when a problem requires a different approach.
• Integrate customer evidence into design decisions by conducting or supporting usability testing and lightweight research to validate assumptions.
• Simplify complex products, whether designing analytics, workflows, AI functionality, or customer-facing experiences, by reducing cognitive load and helping users achieve outcomes faster.
• Design thoughtfully for our market, accounting for Arabic and English experiences, RTL considerations, and the needs of enterprise customers across the region.
• Communicate design thinking clearly, presenting work to Product, Engineering, leadership, and other stakeholders, explaining not only what was designed but why those decisions were made.
• Enhance team capabilities by actively participating in critiques, giving thoughtful feedback to other designers, and sharing learned knowledge.

Candidate Profile and Experience

The ideal candidate will have 2-5 years of experience in product design and possess the following attributes:

• Ability to own a problem without requiring detailed instruction, taking an ambiguous brief, asking relevant questions, breaking it down, and moving it forward.
• A product designer mindset, demonstrating interest in the customer, business problem, constraints, and outcome, beyond just a polished interface.
• Comfortable challenging the status quo, willing to question requirements or propose better solutions, supported by evidence.
• Discernment to know when to advocate for design decisions and when to compromise, understanding technical, commercial, and time constraints.
• Highly collaborative, working with team members throughout the process rather than in isolation.
• Adaptability to ambiguity and change, maintaining focus on the outcome despite shifting priorities or evolving requirements.
• Genuine curiosity about users, seeking to understand customer behavior and willing to adapt designs based on evidence.
• Clear communication skills, capable of explaining complex design decisions to non-designers and adapting communication style for different stakeholders.
• Commitment to quality, upholding high standards for interaction, usability, accessibility, and visual design, while also understanding the value of "good enough to learn."

Valued Additional Experience

Experience in the following areas would be considered beneficial:

• Designing data-heavy or analytics-driven B2B products.
• Working with AI-powered products, conversational interfaces, or AI agents.
• Designing Arabic/English or RTL (Right-to-Left) experiences.
• Familiarity with research and testing tools such as FigJam, Maze, or LogRocket.

Work Environment and Compensation

You will work alongside senior designers, Product Managers, Engineers, UX researchers, and UX writers, operating with meaningful independence. Salary for this position will be discussed during the interview process.
