The company connects merchants with licensed delivery operators through a single platform, offering direct technical integration, a prepaid account, transparent pricing, and agreed-upon service levels. SHIFTER operates without owning a fleet or employing drivers.

The Role of Product Owner

As a Product Owner, you will be responsible for SHIFTER's platform end-to-end. This includes the merchant API and integrations, the merchant dashboard, the prepaid wallet, the rate-card engine, operator dispatch, and the SLA engine. The role involves making decisions on product development, writing specifications, leading the engineering team through delivery, and being accountable for production results. This full-time position reports directly to the CEO and requires 5-10 years of experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Own the product roadmap and backlog for merchant, operator, and internal surfaces, prioritizing based on measurable impact on activation, order volume, SLA, and margin.
• Conduct direct needs discovery through at least six merchant or operator interviews per month, supplemented by order and funnel data, before adding items to the backlog.
• Write clear specifications and acceptance criteria, including user stories, API contracts, edge cases, and failure states, to enable engineers to build without ambiguity.
• Manage delivery with the engineering team in two-week sprints, encompassing planning, refinement, acceptance, and release, with a named release every sprint.
• Define and track product KPIs such as time to integrate a merchant, order success rate, on-time delivery against SLA, wallet top-up rate, and support tickets per 1,000 orders.
• Ensure pricing rules, SLA rules, and settlement (T+5) are configurable and auditable, collaborating with the Pricing Specialist and finance team.
• Maintain platform readiness for regulatory and data requirements, including Transport General Authority licensing and PDPL compliance, prior to launch.
