Project Director Data Center Construction

About the Role

Energi People is seeking an experienced Project Director to lead the delivery of major hyperscale data center construction projects in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role involves overseeing a significant project phase, managing large multidisciplinary teams, and driving successful project execution from construction through delivery. The position is with a leading international construction organization that is expanding its operations in the Middle East.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of major hyperscale data center construction projects.
• Manage project execution across a defined program phase.
• Oversee operational performance, program delivery, and project milestones.
• Build, develop, and lead high-performing project teams.
• Support the recruitment and development of project delivery personnel.
• Work closely with regional leadership to ensure successful project outcomes.
• Manage senior stakeholders across client, contractor, and project teams.

Candidate Requirements

• Significant experience delivering data center construction projects.
• Proven hyperscale data center project delivery experience.
• Track record delivering projects valued at $300M+.
• Outstanding leadership and communication skills.
• Experience managing large, multidisciplinary project teams.
• Previous experience working within the Middle East, ideally Saudi Arabia.
• A General Contractor (GC) background is highly desirable.
• Experience delivering large-scale hyperscale programs is highly desirable.
• Demonstrated ability to build and scale project teams is highly desirable.
• An existing network of industry professionals within the mission-critical market is highly desirable.

Leadership Scope

The Project Director will lead a substantial project team, managing approximately 10 direct reports. These reports include senior managers, commissioning managers, and site leadership personnel.

Compensation and Benefits
