About the Role

JAM Event Services is seeking an experienced Project Director to lead the comprehensive delivery of a major crowd management program. This program supports a high-profile international sporting event hosted in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This is a contract position requiring over 10 years of experience.

Key Responsibilities

The Project Director holds overall accountability for delivery quality, client relationships, financial performance, and team leadership. This role serves as the primary point of contact for the client and represents JAM at a senior level throughout the program lifecycle. Responsibilities include:

• Holding full executive accountability for on-time, on-budget, and on-quality delivery of the entire training program.
• Chairing and leading the Steering Committee with the client, presenting progress, risks, and financials at a senior level.
• Building, leading, and motivating a multi-disciplinary project team of training, technology, operations, and logistics specialists.
• Establishing and maintaining robust governance structures, reporting cadences, and escalation protocols.
• Serving as the senior relationship owner with the client, building trust, managing expectations, and resolving issues.
• Leading contract execution, kick-off meetings, and formal approvals throughout the program lifecycle.
• Obtaining written client sign-offs at each key gate, including program approvals, system acceptance testing, and final completion.
• Overseeing the development and client approval of training programs and operational activity.
• Overseeing the build, testing, and deployment of a custom Learner Management System, including scheduling, attendance tracking, assessment, and certification modules.
• Owning the operational deployment of the project delivery team.
• Approving all logistics requirements for project implementation and delivery.
• Managing the program budget, tracking spend, approving commitments, and reporting against forecasts.
• Owning all change control, scope management, and variations in line with contract terms.
• Leading final invoicing, financial close-out, and client acceptance of all deliverables.
• Maintaining a live risk register, escalating and resolving critical risks within defined timelines.
• Championing quality assurance across all program outputs, from curriculum content to certification records.
• Ensuring full legal, insurance, and regulatory compliance for delivery operations in KSA.

Candidate Requirements

• A minimum of 10 years of experience in project leadership, preferably within event services or large-scale program management.
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects, client relationships, and financial performance.
• Experience in leading multi-disciplinary teams.
• Strong understanding of program governance, risk management, and quality assurance.
