About the Project Manager, Rural Development Role

Arweqah Alreyadah is seeking a Project Manager, Rural Development to lead a strategic development project in Al Saudia, Riyadh. This full-time role focuses on building an integrated economic ecosystem in one of Saudi Arabia’s coastal regions. The project aims to develop the fisheries value chain and enhance the efficiency of operational and commercial activities related to fisheries and seafood products.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the project from planning and design through implementation, operation, and sustainability phases.
• Manage project scope, schedule, budget, resources, and performance indicators.
• Oversee project teams, experts, vendors, client relationships, and key stakeholders.
• Manage contracts, procurement processes, risks, field activities, and ensure deliverable quality.
• Prepare executive reports and presentations, and oversee impact measurement.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, Economics, Development Studies, Marine Sciences, or a related field.
• A minimum of 7 years of project management experience, including demonstrated experience leading large, complex, multi-stakeholder development projects.
• Practical experience in the fisheries sector, marine fisheries, or fisheries and food value-chain development.
• Experience in rural and local economic development and community empowerment.
• Knowledge of seafood processing, packaging, cold-chain operations, logistics, and marketing.
• Strong experience in managing project plans, budgets, contracts, vendors, risks, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Experience working with government entities, private-sector organizations, and nonprofit organizations.
• Strong reporting, presentation, and project management tool capabilities.
• PMP, PRINCE2, or PMD Pro certification is preferred.
• Willingness to travel and undertake field assignments as required.

Work Environment and Location

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The role may require travel and field assignments to coastal regions as necessary to support project objectives.
