Project Manager (Technical Saudi)

About the Role

Onftech is seeking a Project Manager (Technical) to join its technology team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role involves leading the end-to-end delivery of banking and fintech projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and within budget. The Project Manager will serve as a primary liaison with bank teams and manage various technical and regulatory aspects of project execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of banking/fintech projects, including payment systems, AML, Open Banking, and regulatory integrations.
• Define project scope, timelines, milestones, and deliverables.
• Establish and maintain project governance frameworks and reporting structures.
• Act as the primary point of contact for bank/fintech clients and manage communication with senior stakeholders (IT, business, compliance, regulators).
• Conduct steering committees, status meetings, and executive reporting.
• Collaborate with architecture, development, QA, DevOps, and integration teams.
• Understand system architectures (API-based, microservices, on-prem/cloud deployments) and ensure proper integration with bank systems (Core Banking, Payment Systems, Regulatory APIs).
• Review technical designs and ensure alignment with project objectives.
• Ensure solutions comply with regulatory frameworks (*, SAMA, Open Banking, AML/KYC requirements) and coordinate certification, testing, and regulatory approval processes.
• Manage the delivery of regulatory-driven changes (*, Tanfeeth waves, reporting requirements).
• Identify project risks, implement mitigation strategies, and manage issues, escalations, and dependencies across teams, maintaining RAID logs.
• Develop detailed project plans, sprint plans, and release schedules, tracking progress using tools such as Jira, Confluence, and MS Project.
• Oversee UAT, SIT, and production deployment phases, ensuring adherence to SDLC, QA processes, and security standards.
• Validate deliverables against functional and non-functional requirements and coordinate testing cycles and sign-offs with clients.
• Manage scope changes, ensure proper change control processes, and assess the impact of changes on timeline, cost, and resources.
• Support commercial discussions for out-of-scope requests.

Technical Coordination and Support

• Provide on-site coordination during SIT and UAT phases.
• Validate test cases against project requirements.
• Support defect triage and tracking.
• Monitor test execution progress and document testing outcomes.
• Facilitate knowledge transfer sessions and prepare release documentation.
• Manage release configurations.

Qualifications and Experience

• 2-5 years of experience in project management, preferably within the banking or fintech sector.
• Demonstrated ability to lead end-to-end project delivery.
• Experience with payment systems, AML, Open Banking, and regulatory integrations is preferred.
• Familiarity with project management tools such as Jira, Confluence, and MS Project.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The role requires on-site presence for coordination activities during key project phases.
