The Role of Psychiatry Senior Registrar

My Clinic is seeking a Psychiatry Senior Registrar to join its team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This is a full-time position requiring 5-10 years of experience. The Senior Registrar will operate under the direct supervision of the department Chairman/Medical Director, providing specialized psychiatric care and contributing to the department's educational and quality assurance programs.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide specialized care to patients within the clinic's services.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient care.
• Offer consultation services in accordance with approved privileges.
• Actively participate in Departmental/Divisional Educational Programs.
• Coach, educate, and supervise Staff Physicians and Assistant Consultants within the Department and Divisional subspecialty training.
• Develop subspecialty clinical programs and Departmental Policies and Procedures (DPPs) as directed.
• Contribute to the development of Quality Assurance initiatives and participate in Departmental and My Clinic programs.
• Ensure that the quality of care provided meets the standards set by the Ministry of Health (MOH) and the Central Board for Accreditation of Healthcare Institutions (CBAHI).
• Assume responsibilities in other divisions within the Department as requested.
• Serve on medical staff committees as directed by the Departmental Head / Medical Director.
• Adhere to My Clinic's rules, policies, and procedures.
• Be responsible for the patients under their care.
• Perform other professional and medical duties assigned by the department head.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 5-10 years of relevant experience in Psychiatry.
• Demonstrated ability to provide specialized patient care.
• Experience in medical education, coaching, and supervision.
• Familiarity with quality assurance standards in healthcare.
