About the Role
ASBIS Middle East is seeking a Purchasing and Logistics Manager to join their team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role is central to ensuring the efficient and cost-effective management of the entire supply chain process. The manager will be responsible for optimizing procurement, logistics, and inventory management to meet organizational goals for timely product delivery and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
The Purchasing and Logistics Manager will oversee critical functions across the supply chain, including:
- Analyzing demand and managing stock levels, while reporting on inventory, turnover, and product availability.
- Managing procurement activities and fostering strong supplier relationships, including defining sales and purchasing rules and processing purchase orders within the ERP system.
- Coordinating logistics, which involves placing transport orders, tracking shipments, and arranging direct deliveries to customers. This also includes sourcing cost-effective freight forwarders and maintaining security measures for high-value cargo.
- Overseeing warehouse management, including familiarity with WMS management and setting up efficient warehouse processes.
- Conducting analysis and reporting on supply chain data, and monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs).
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, or a related field.
- Proficiency in supply chain software and ERP systems.
- Knowledge of relevant industry regulations and standards.
- Experience in retail or manufacturing is considered an advantage.
Skills and Experience
Candidates should possess the following professional skills and experience:
- 5-10 years of experience in a relevant field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
- Demonstrated experience in project management and team leadership.
