Job Description

About the Role

AECOM is seeking a QAQC Engineer to join their team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role involves ensuring that all installed commodities meet established specifications and design requirements through comprehensive quality assurance and quality control duties. The successful candidate will operate under general supervision, applying sound professional judgment to all aspects of work and construction quality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform independent walk-downs and inspections of installed commodities to ensure conformance with specifications and design requirements.
  • Evaluate, select, and apply standard engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria to meet basic engineering and construction specifications.
  • Conduct material testing and verification to confirm compliance with project specifications and industry standards.
  • Perform quantity surveys for tracking and reporting purposes.
  • Document non-conformances and prepare corrective action reports with recommendations for remediation.
  • Maintain comprehensive quality records, inspection logs, and test documentation for project archival and regulatory compliance.
  • Generate quality metrics reports and analyze trends to identify areas for continuous improvement.
  • Provide technical direction to drafters, technicians, and surveyors as needed.
  • Coordinate with project teams, contractors, and stakeholders to communicate quality requirements and inspection findings.
  • Ensure adherence to applicable codes, standards, and regulatory requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Support site safety initiatives and quality assurance protocols to maintain a compliant work environment.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates for this role should possess a strong background in quality assurance and quality control within an engineering context. A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience is required.

Required Skills

  • Proficiency in performing walk-downs and inspections.
  • Ability to evaluate and apply standard engineering techniques and procedures.
  • Experience with material testing and verification.
