The Role of Reporting Engineer

AECOM is seeking a Reporting Engineer to join its team in Riyadh. This is a full-time position requiring over 10 years of experience. The role involves developing an understanding of financial systems, processes, and terminology, as well as exposure to project financial impacts and Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) concepts. The Reporting Engineer will contribute to cost and schedule analysis, progress tracking, and financial data management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Research data for cost and schedule analysis.
  • Develop knowledge of accounting principles, drawings, and specifications.
  • Assist in the collection of progress data and review of performance trends.
  • Develop knowledge of earned value concepts, principles, and methodology.
  • Collect data and produce initial analysis on manpower, labor hour, and labor cost requirements versus budget limitations.
  • Collect data and produce initial analysis for tracking actual cost to funding limitations.
  • Provide support for tracking purchase orders and subcontract commitments and expenditures.
  • Develop knowledge of scope control and change management.

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • Over 10 years of experience in a relevant field.
  • Familiarity with company financial and cornerstone systems and processes.
  • Understanding of financial terminology, measures, concepts, and principles for financial data analysis.
  • Exposure to processes that increase recognition of financial impact of various project actions.
  • Knowledge of WBS concepts and principles.
  • Exposure to progress/performance data and associated concepts and principles.
  • Exposure to concepts and principles of project revenue and cost.
  • Exposure to basic scheduling and cost baseline fundamentals, concepts, and principles.
