Retail Delivery Engineer

About the Role

Unified Asset & Property Management (UAPM) is seeking a Retail Delivery Engineer to join their team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role involves on-site supervision of tenant fit-out projects, minor construction works, and retail delivery activities across URED's managed properties. The Engineer will ensure all works adhere to safety standards, approved drawings and specifications, and meet programme and quality requirements, supporting the Manager – Retail Delivery in achieving opening standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise daily on-site activities for tenant fit-outs, refurbishments, and retail delivery projects.
• Inspect works at key milestones against approved drawings, specifications, and URED's quality standards.
• Identify and document snags, non-conforming works, and safety violations; issue formal non-compliance notices.
• Enforce URED's fit-out rules, including working hours, noise curfews, and waste management requirements.

Site Management and Coordination

• Control contractor and tenant access to site, verifying permits, insurances, and method statements before works proceed.
• Maintain daily site diaries recording contractor attendance, works completed, and issues raised.
• Coordinate utilities connections (power, water, drainage) for fit-out activities with the engineering team.
• Manage site safety, including hard hat compliance, signage, segregation, and fire risk controls.

Programme Monitoring and Reporting

• Monitor individual tenant fit-out programmes and report progress against target dates to the Manager – Retail Delivery.
• Identify delays, constraints, and risks to the programme and advise management on mitigation options.
• Prepare weekly site supervision reports and photograph evidence packs for management review.

Stakeholder Liaison

• Serve as the primary on-site URED contact for tenants and their fit-out contractors.
• Manage day-to-day contractor queries, instructions, and site coordination issues.
• Facilitate pre-start meetings with incoming tenant contractors to review site rules and access procedures.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates should possess 5-10 years of relevant experience in retail delivery, construction supervision, or tenant fit-out projects. The role requires a strong understanding of construction processes, quality control, and safety regulations.
