Retail Inventory Controller

About the Role

Adidas is seeking a Retail Inventory Controller to join their team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role involves monitoring and maintaining inventory levels across systems, stores, and warehouses. The Inventory Controller ensures that correct retail controls and procedures are implemented at the store level and that accurate stock-on-hand (STOH) information is provided to the Senior Manager of Retail Operations and the Senior Manager of Consumer Excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Run daily, weekly, or monthly inventory reports and perform detailed analysis of item performance.
• Develop accurate and consistent enhancements to the inventory reporting structure.
• Identify "heavy" and "low" turn inventory items and maintain communication reports for respective teams.
• Control inventory adjustments, including quantity and price variance analysis.
• Conduct diligent investigations to resolve system problems.
• Maintain and ensure high levels of internal and external customer service.
• Minimize inaccuracies in store stock data.
• Drive the stock audit process from planning to execution.
• Accurately manage stock items and stock revenue in aLS and SAP for 100% alignment.
• Organize vast amounts of data effectively.
• Proactively propose process changes to prevent irregularities.
• Manage store receiving and shipping of inventory into and out of the company’s warehouse, including End-of-Season (EOS) transfers and inter-branch transfers.
• Report results of investigations and anomalies related to possible loss prevention issues directly to the Senior Manager of Retail Operations.

Key Performance Indicators

• Achieve the defined annual shrinkage target (administration).
• Ensure all uniforms and damages are adjusted monthly.
• Meet results for relevant sections of the PRP Internal Controls Audit.
• Close investigations within 48 hours.
• Maintain monthly system alignment between 98% and 100%.

Qualifications and Experience

• University degree or diploma level education.
• 3-4 years of retail inventory control experience with a focus on business operations.
• Industry experience in Sports or Consumer Goods.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, within the Adidas retail operations team.
