About Restart

Restart is seeking a Safety Officer to join its team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role requires 2-5 years of experience and focuses on implementing and monitoring health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards across project sites.

Role Overview

The Safety Officer is responsible for ensuring compliance with company HSE policies, procedures, and safety standards at all project locations. This involves conducting regular inspections, preparing safety documentation, and providing training to maintain a safe working environment and prevent incidents.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement and monitor company HSE policies, procedures, and safety standards at project sites.
  • Conduct regular site safety inspections to identify unsafe conditions and practices.
  • Prepare and implement Risk Assessments, JSA/JHA, Method Statements, and HSE Plans.
  • Conduct daily Toolbox Talks and safety briefings for employees and subcontractors.
  • Monitor compliance with PPE requirements, safe working procedures, and permit-to-work systems.
  • Investigate accidents, incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions, and prepare appropriate reports.
  • Maintain and update HSE records, inspection reports, incident reports, and safety statistics.
  • Conduct regular inspections of work areas, equipment, tools, scaffolding, lifting activities, and access areas.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable Saudi regulations, client requirements, and project HSE standards.
  • Coordinate with project management, supervisors, engineers, and subcontractors regarding safety matters.
  • Provide safety awareness and training to employees and site personnel.
  • Monitor emergency preparedness and participate in emergency drills.
  • Identify potential hazards and recommend appropriate corrective and preventive actions.
  • Follow up on safety observations and ensure corrective actions are properly closed.
  • Support the project team during client and regulatory HSE inspections and audits.
  • Promote a strong safety culture and zero-incident mindset across the project.

Required Experience and Qualifications

  • A minimum of 2 to 5 years of experience in a safety-related role.
  • Demonstrated ability to implement and monitor HSE policies and procedures.
  • Experience in conducting site safety inspections and identifying hazards.
  • Proficiency in preparing risk assessments, method statements, and HSE plans.
  • Knowledge of Saudi regulations and international HSE standards.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, requiring on-site presence to manage and oversee safety protocols across various project locations.
