Sales Manager Dates SAR

About the Role

Antal International is seeking a Sales Manager – Dates for a prominent dates producer in Saudi Arabia. Based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, this full-time role is responsible for leading sales and business development activities across Saudi Arabia and international markets. The primary focus is on growing revenue, developing strategic customer relationships, expanding distribution channels, and achieving profitable sales of dates and related products. The position requires over 10 years of experience and offers a salary of SAR 40K – 45K + Benefits.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute annual, quarterly, and monthly sales plans aligned with company revenue and profitability objectives.
• Expand sales across the KSA market through various channels including wholesalers, distributors, modern trade, traditional trade, retailers, foodservice, hotels, restaurants, cafés, institutions, and B2B customers.
• Identify and develop new export markets, establishing relationships with international importers, distributors, wholesalers, retailers, and food companies.
• Manage strategic accounts, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and retention through regular visits and business reviews.
• Build a qualified pipeline of new customers and distributors, identifying opportunities for new products, packaging formats, and sales channels.
• Negotiate prices, payment terms, volumes, contracts, and promotions within approved authority while protecting margins.
• Lead, coach, and develop the sales team, establishing clear individual and team KPIs and conducting performance reviews.
• Coordinate with Production, Supply Chain, Procurement, Finance, Quality, Marketing, and Logistics to meet customer requirements.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, Agriculture, Food Science, or a related discipline.
• Proven and recent sales experience in the dates industry is mandatory.
• Over 10 years of experience in sales, with a strong understanding of the Saudi dates market.
• Practical experience with international customers, importers, distributors, wholesalers, retailers, foodservice companies, or traders.
• Proven international sales/export experience in dates is strongly preferred.
• Established relationships with dates buyers, distributors, importers, wholesalers, retailers, traders, or foodservice customers are highly desirable.
• Demonstrated track record of achieving sales targets and developing new accounts.
• Experience managing a sales team and commercial pipeline.

Key Skills and Knowledge

• Strong practical understanding of the Saudi dates sector, including key producing regions, market channels, customer segments, and seasonal demand.
• Knowledge of major dates varieties, their commercial positioning, grades, sizes, moisture characteristics, packaging formats, and applications.
• Understanding of the dates value chain from farm/producer through processing, packing, distribution, wholesale, retail, and export.
• Ability to understand customer specifications and translate market requirements into commercially viable product offerings.
• Awareness of international market preferences and the commercial requirements of different export destinations.
• Strong negotiation, presentation, communication, and relationship-management skills.

Work Environment and Travel

This full-time position is based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Regular travel within Saudi Arabia is expected, with international travel as required to visit customers, distributors, importers, and business partners, and to attend exhibitions and trade events.
