SAP Basis Administrator

About the Role

Systems Arabia is seeking an experienced SAP Basis Administrator to join our team in Riyadh. This full-time role focuses on maintaining the stability, security, and performance of SAP S/4HANA systems. The position requires 5-10 years of relevant experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor daily system health and resolve support tickets within defined service levels.
• Administer SAP S/4HANA, SAP NetWeaver, and SAP HANA environments, including installations, upgrades, patching, support packs, and SAP Notes.
• Perform system and client copies, manage transports, and support environment provisioning across development, quality, and production systems.
• Optimize system and database performance, covering memory, workloads, tablespaces, logs, background jobs, backups, and recovery.
• Monitor systems using SAP Solution Manager, including EarlyWatch reports, alerts, logs, jobs, and system diagnostics.
• Manage user access, roles, profiles, segregation of duties, single sign-on, and multi-factor authentication support.
• Configure SSL/TLS, SAP Web Dispatcher, printers, and RFC connections.
• Address security vulnerabilities and apply operating system, database, and application security patches.
• Support high availability, disaster recovery, backup and restoration, and compliance reporting.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 5+ years of SAP Basis administration experience, with involvement in 2–3 projects.
• Proven experience with SAP NetWeaver, SAP S/4HANA Basis, SAP HANA administration, and Linux/Unix command-line operations.
• Hands-on experience with SAP Solution Manager, including monitoring, change control, and EarlyWatch, as well as SAP Web Dispatcher.
• Strong knowledge of SAP security, PFCG role design, segregation of duties, and audit support.
• Experience with performance tuning, high availability, backup and recovery, and disaster recovery.
• Valid SAP certification in system administration or HANA administration.
• Previous experience supporting Saudi public-sector or government projects.
• Ability to work remotely and travel to Riyadh when required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Saudi National Cybersecurity Authority Essential Cybersecurity Controls (NCA ECC) and ISO 27001.
• Experience with cloud-hosted SAP environments.
• Scripting or automation experience for monitoring tasks.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh, with flexibility for remote work and required travel to the city as needed.
