About the Role

Elm Company is seeking an SAP SD Consultant to join its team in Riyadh. This full-time position is critical for supporting the development, enhancement, and optimization of enterprise resource planning (ERP) solutions. The consultant will be responsible for analyzing business requirements, managing system enhancements, and ensuring strong alignment between business processes and technology capabilities. This role contributes directly to improving operational efficiency, enabling digital transformation initiatives, and supporting the effective delivery of internal digital services across Elm. We are looking for a professional with 5-10 years of relevant experience.

Key Responsibilities

The SAP SD Consultant will play a pivotal role in the ERP lifecycle, from requirements gathering to solution deployment and ongoing support. Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting comprehensive business analysis and managing requirements for ERP systems.
  • Supporting the development, enhancement, and optimization of ERP modules and applications.
  • Driving business process improvement and digital transformation initiatives.
  • Facilitating internal systems integration and providing ongoing support.
  • Assisting with reporting, analytics, and data-driven insights.
  • Engaging with stakeholders and managing vendor relationships.

Detailed Accountabilities

  • Gather, analyze, and document business requirements related to ERP systems and associated business processes, preparing business requirements documents (BRDs), functional specifications, and process flows.
  • Support the implementation, enhancement, and optimization of ERP modules and business applications, analyzing enhancement requests and recommending solutions aligned with business objectives.
  • Participate in testing, validation, and deployment activities for ERP enhancements.
  • Identify opportunities to improve business processes through ERP capabilities and automation, supporting digital transformation initiatives and business process standardization.
  • Support integration activities between ERP and internal corporate systems, coordinating with technical teams to ensure effective system interoperability and data consistency.
  • Assist in troubleshooting and resolving system-related issues affecting business operations.
  • Support the preparation of management reports, dashboards, and business analytics related to ERP operations, analyzing operational data to provide insights that support business decisions.
  • Collaborate with business units, technical teams, and external vendors to support ERP initiatives, participating in vendor discussions and service delivery monitoring.
  • Support stakeholder communication and change management activities.

Governance and Operational Standards

  • Ensure business rules, controls, and governance requirements are properly implemented within ERP systems, contributing to maintaining system integrity, auditability, and operational controls.
  • Support compliance with organizational policies, standards, and operational procedures.
  • Follow all relevant departmental policies, processes, standard operating procedures, and instructions.
  • Comply with all relevant safety, quality, and environmental management policies, procedures, and controls.
  • Adhere to all relevant information security practices and standards to ensure data integrity and confidentiality.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Professional certifications in ERP platforms, business analysis, or project management are considered an advantage.
  • 5-10 years of experience in ERP systems, business analysis, digital transformation initiatives, or enterprise application management.
  • Demonstrated exposure to process improvement and business systems implementation.

This full-time position is based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
