Role Summary: Section Manager - DCS - SAS

alfanar is seeking a Section Manager - DCS - SAS to join its team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role is responsible for directing data center systems activities, ensuring the alignment of technical requirements, seamless system integration, and optimal overall solution performance across various projects. The successful candidate will coordinate closely with design, engineering, and execution teams to deliver compliant and optimized solutions, bringing 5-10 years of relevant experience to the position.

Key Accountabilities

• Direct the alignment of data center systems with overall project requirements, ensuring proper integration across all technical components and consistency between system requirements and design outputs.
• Drive coordination among design, engineering, and project teams to align system requirements and deliverables, ensuring technical requirements are clearly defined, communicated, and implemented.
• Lead technical discussions with customers to align on system requirements, performance expectations, and compliance standards, ensuring customer feedback is integrated into system-level decisions.
• Oversee the implementation of data center systems to ensure alignment with defined requirements and integration needs, coordinating with execution teams during project delivery.
• Direct the resolution of system-level issues throughout engineering, production, testing, and commissioning phases, ensuring system performance meets defined technical and operational requirements.
• Oversee the preparation and control of system-related documentation, ensuring compliance with applicable standards and project requirements, and maintaining traceability and consistency of system data.
• Direct coordination with procurement, production, and testing teams to ensure full support for system requirements and alignment between system needs and resource planning.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives based on project feedback, system performance, and operational insights, ensuring the adoption of improved technologies and practices.

Managerial and Leadership Responsibilities

• Recruit, recognize, and cultivate high performers to build a robust second line of management, while guiding low performers towards improvement or appropriate action.
• Ensure fair treatment of subordinates, with performance as the primary assessment criterion for achieving planned results, and maintain a clear delegation of authority matrix.
• Take full responsibility for operations and deliverables as per the job description and company guidelines, proactively anticipating problems and making timely decisions.
• Deliver required results punctually, meeting specified quality and cost standards, and making a tangible difference that exceeds business expectations.
• Translate corporate goals into business plans, overseeing their planning, follow-up, and execution, monitoring performance, and initiating corrective actions.
• Monitor and control budgets and expenses to achieve optimum cost efficiency, providing periodic work progress reports.
• Develop and adapt the organizational structure based on current and future requirements, ensuring job descriptions are available for all roles.
• Develop and coordinate well-defined written systems, policies, and procedures, seeking automation opportunities and promoting the full use of relevant IT solutions.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 5 to 10 years of relevant professional experience.
