About the Role

Guy Carpenter is seeking a Lead Specialist – Fiduciary to join its Fiduciary team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time, hybrid position requires a minimum of three days per week in the office and is open to SAUDI NATIONALS ONLY. The role offers an opportunity to gain an in-depth understanding of the end-to-end lifecycle of Re-insurance Broking and to lead Change Management initiatives during system and process migrations. Candidates should have 2-5 years of relevant experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process cash receipts and disbursement of fiduciary funds, including reconciliations and query resolution.
  • Support personal cash processing and fiduciary targets, utilizing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for reporting from the CSS Dashboard and other system tools.
  • Leverage in-depth knowledge of fiduciary systems, processes, policies, and procedures in day-to-day work.
  • Prepare, record, and report customer billing transactions emanating from the broker ledger.
  • Respond to requests from various stakeholders and appropriately escalate issues.
  • Develop strong client and market relationships, providing value-added service.
  • Maintain technical reinsurance knowledge and skills to effectively manage and service assigned client and/or market portfolios.
  • Work with cross-functional teams, such as Compliance and Finance, to resolve sensitive client issues.
  • Lead and participate in knowledge-sharing forums across onshore and offshore locations.
  • Collaborate with peers on complex or contentious reinsurance developments; support and provide training, mentoring, and guidance within the team for all aspects of reinsurance service processing.
  • Provide insights into complex technical terminology and clarify procedures.
  • Lead authorization, sign-off, and approvals on technical reports and documentation.
  • Actively participate in Business Continuity and Business Impact Analysis, including a detailed mitigating plan.
  • Participate in System Release Testing (enhancement, regression) and report bugs.
  • Mentor and train team members to grow technically and professionally within the organization.
  • Lead various Financial KPI reviews (Cash, Funding, Income Exposure, Receivables, Retentions, Claims Collections, etc.) to drive continuous improvement and identify areas for improvement.
  • Ensure Working Capital improvement and Bad Debt provisioning requirements are well below the existing provision.
  • Drive complex account and portfolio management with proper account notes and memos highlighting servicing methodology and key concepts/protocols.
  • Lead financial delivery for the team, business unit, or entities assigned, and provide operations dashboards and metrics to show trends, figures, and business insight.
  • Drive legacy projects across regions, ensuring minimal or zero balances appearing above 90+ days ageing.
  • Ensure compliance adherence to internal and external regulatory guidelines.
  • Participate in internal and external audits at the team level and ensure team adherence to various compliance mandates.

Initial Role Expectations

The role includes a structured onboarding period with clear expectations for integration and performance:

  • Within 30 days, gain in-depth knowledge of the service overseen and understand role requirements.
  • Within 60 days, attain competency and develop a strong understanding of processes and systems.
  • Within 90 days, be able to technically lead the team, serve as a single point of contact for technical escalations and process improvements, and lead discussions to build relationships with Clients, Re-insurers, Business units, and Placing brokers.

Work Model and Culture

This is a hybrid role, requiring colleagues to be in their local office or working onsite with clients for at least three days per week. Office-based teams will identify at least one “anchor day” per week for in-person collaboration.
