Senior Arabic & English Copywriter

About the Role

Brainlake is seeking a Senior Arabic & English Copywriter to join a 12-month remote contract engagement. This role focuses on large digital transformation programs for leading organizations in the GCC region, based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The successful candidate will be responsible for copy across websites, digital platforms, and digital communications, translating complex strategies, services, and policies into clear, consistent, and audience-appropriate content in both Arabic and English.

Key Responsibilities

• Write, edit, and transcreate copy in Arabic and English for various digital platforms, including websites, portals, mobile apps, UX/microcopy, landing pages, service descriptions, and navigation labels.
• Produce digital communications such as email campaigns, newsletters, announcements, social media content, push notifications, and campaign messaging.
• Ensure Arabic content is written natively, maintaining cultural relevance and intent while matching the impact of English content.
• Develop and apply tone-of-voice guidelines, bilingual style guides, and terminology glossaries to ensure consistent messaging across all channels.
• Collaborate with UX/UI designers to shape content within user journeys, wireframes, and prototypes, considering right-to-left (RTL) layout.
• Translate client briefs, brand strategy, and research insights into content structures and messaging frameworks.
• Participate in client workshops and review cycles, present content rationale, and incorporate feedback from senior stakeholders.
• Manage content quality from end to end, including proofreading and reviewing personal and team work for accuracy, consistency, and adherence to standards.
• Manage multiple workstreams and deadlines in a structured, document-driven delivery environment.

Required Experience and Skills

• 5-10 years of experience as a bilingual copywriter, fluent in both Arabic and English.
• Demonstrated ability to produce clear, consistent, and audience-appropriate content for digital platforms.
• Strong understanding of content strategy and its application in digital transformation programs.
• Ability to work closely with strategy, UX/UI, and delivery teams, as well as senior client stakeholders.
• Proficiency in managing content quality and adhering to high standards in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience on projects for top-tier consulting firms or within a consulting environment.
• Familiarity with Gulf Arabic and local cultural nuances across GCC markets.
• Experience with CMS platforms (*, Sitecore, Adobe Experience Manager, WordPress) and design tools (Figma).
• Background in UX writing or content design, including building content for design systems.
• Experience creating content governance frameworks, editorial calendars, or content audits.
• Knowledge of Arabic SEO and search behavior in Arabic.
• Experience with AI-assisted writing and translation tools, with an understanding of their effective application.
• A degree in Communications, Journalism, Translation, Marketing, or a related field.

Work Environment

This is a remote, contract-based position for a duration of 12 months. The role involves working within a structured, document-driven delivery environment that requires managing multiple workstreams and deadlines efficiently.
