About the Role

WSP in the Middle East is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer Water Transmission Pipeline for a full-time position in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This role involves acting as the Consultant's representative, overseeing the construction and delivery of water transmission pipeline works, and ensuring project execution aligns with schedule and budget requirements.

Role Overview

The Senior Civil Engineer will be responsible for monitoring contractor performance, ensuring compliance with project specifications and quality standards, and coordinating with various stakeholders. The position requires a professional with 5-10 years of experience in civil engineering, specifically within water transmission pipeline projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise construction activities related to water transmission pipelines and associated civil infrastructure.
• Ensure works are executed in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, contract requirements, and applicable standards.
• Review and provide comments on shop drawings, method statements, material submittals, and technical proposals.
• Monitor contractor progress, quality, and compliance with Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) requirements.
• Conduct site inspections and witness testing and commissioning activities.
• Identify and resolve technical issues encountered during construction.
• Coordinate with the Client, Contractor, authorities, and other project stakeholders.
• Review contractor progress reports, inspection records, and technical documentation.
• Assist in evaluating variations, claims, and contractual matters.
• Prepare periodic progress, quality, and technical reports for project management.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 5-10 years of experience in civil engineering, with a focus on water transmission pipeline projects.
• Demonstrated ability to oversee construction, monitor contractor performance, and ensure compliance with project standards.
• Strong understanding of project specifications, quality standards, and HSE requirements.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, within a professional consulting environment at WSP in the Middle East. The role requires active engagement on-site and coordination with various project teams and external entities.
