Senior Compliance Specialist at Unifonic

This full-time role is crucial for managing and enhancing the company's compliance framework within an AI-native customer experience platform environment. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of experience in compliance within an enterprise-level organization.

About Unifonic's Compliance Function

Unifonic operates an AI-native customer experience platform purpose-built for emerging markets, serving over 5,000 enterprises across MENA. The Compliance team is responsible for managing and enhancing the overall Compliance function. This involves focusing on all compliance affairs of the company to proactively anticipate issues and develop practical solutions for the business, ensuring regulatory adherence and operational integrity.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure the organization maintains an engagement framework with the regulator (CST).
• Collaborate with management and staff to identify and manage regulatory compliance risks.
• Maintain and coordinate open communication with relevant decision-makers and stakeholders regarding regulatory communication and impact.
• Organize regular training sessions for employees to communicate key regulatory changes and updates effectively.
• Support the creation and implementation of organizational policies, standards, and procedures to comply with applicable regulations.
• Research industry compliance regulations and policies.
• Evaluate internal operational and procedural compliance.
• Maintain internal regulatory compliance through communicating requirements, obtaining approvals, and training stakeholders.
• Apply for compliance certifications and regulatory approvals.
• Develop and maintain a compliance recordkeeping system.
• Maintain communication with compliance regulators and follow up on applications.
• Stay updated with compliance requirements and amendments to regulations.
• Identify roadblocks and propose process improvements.
• Maintain a compliance communication register and documentation.
• Create and manage action plans in response to regulatory compliance audit discoveries and compliance violations.
• Remediate regulatory audits and periodic reviews, compiling gaps and action plans.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 3+ years of hands-on experience as a compliance analyst or specialist within an enterprise-level organization.
• Strong experience in both reviewing and drafting policies and documentation in both Arabic and English.
• Experience with international standards and local regulatory requirements related to telecommunications, data protection, and data localization.
• Compliance management or project management certification is considered a plus.
