Senior Design Engineer

About the Role

Hill International is seeking a Senior Design Engineer to join their team in Riyadh. This full-time role involves leveraging technical experience and knowledge to manage the design of Water/Wastewater Treatment Plants, pumping stations, and desalination plants. The successful candidate will work with client design consultants on Regional Infrastructure Water Projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the Project Manager in the management and delivery of design work, ensuring adherence to program schedules and client requirements.
• Assist in managing the team of design engineers and consultants.
• Coordinate and monitor the planned activities of design consultants, providing progress reports to Design Project Management and highlighting performance against the plan.
• Plan and organize the review of design consultant deliverables, collaborating with subject matter experts and design review teams.
• Conduct analysis on design plans.
• Review analysis findings for technical and business reports.
• Implement green initiatives within design processes.
• Specify appropriate analytical methods to support decision-making.
• Provide quality assessment reports to Project Management and the client.
• Support the Contracts Department and Construction teams in pre-construction and post-contract award activities.
• Ensure continuous compliance with Hill International's Quality, Environmental, Safety, and Occupational Health Policies, Manuals, and Procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the line manager or supervisor.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering from an accredited university.
• A minimum of 15 years of experience post-graduation.
• At least 10 years of design experience specifically related to water and wastewater projects.
• Demonstrated knowledge of water and wastewater master plans.
• Ability to review and approve designs related to water and wastewater works.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
