The Role: Senior Dry Utilities Engineer

ARX | Smart Minds is seeking a Senior Dry Utilities Engineer to join its team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position is integral to various infrastructure projects, focusing on the design, planning, and oversight of dry utility networks. The role requires a deep understanding of systems such as power, telecommunications, and street lighting. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 8 years of experience in infrastructure projects, with at least 3 years of this experience gained within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, plan, and oversee the design of dry utility systems for various infrastructure projects.
• Perform and review engineering calculations, network design, cable sizing, and other engineering analyses required for dry utility systems.
• Ensure all dry utilities designs comply with local regulations, standards, and best practices.
• Coordinate with project managers and other engineering disciplines to integrate dry utility systems seamlessly into overall project designs.
• Coordinate utility corridors, crossings, connections, diversions, and interfaces with other infrastructure disciplines.
• Prepare detailed engineering reports, plans, and documentation.
• Review designs and technical deliverables prepared by engineers, designers, and the BIM/CAD team.
• Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers and other team members.
• Liaise with government authorities, clients, and other stakeholders to ensure all project requirements are met.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in infrastructure projects with a focus on dry utilities.
• At least 3 years of relevant experience in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) is mandatory.
• Strong knowledge of dry utility systems, including design and construction practices.
• Strong knowledge of relevant KSA codes, standards, and utility authority requirements.
• Proficiency in relevant engineering design software such as Civil 3D and electrical design software.
