Senior Electrical Engineer

About the Role

Egis is seeking an experienced and innovative Senior Electrical Engineer to join its operations team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role involves designing, implementing, and optimizing electrical systems for industrial operations. The Senior Electrical Engineer will lead a team of electrical professionals, collaborate across departments, and drive continuous improvement initiatives while maintaining high standards of safety and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement comprehensive electrical systems and infrastructure, including power distribution networks, backup power systems, and advanced control systems tailored to operational requirements.
• Conduct thorough analysis of electrical system performance and execute root cause analysis on equipment failures, providing efficient solutions to minimize operational downtime.
• Oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical equipment and systems, ensuring full compliance with Saudi Arabian electrical codes, international standards, and local regulations.
• Manage preventive and corrective maintenance programs for electrical equipment, collaborating with maintenance teams to optimize system reliability and performance.
• Lead, mentor, and support a team of electrical technicians and junior engineers, providing technical guidance, performance feedback, and professional development opportunities.
• Develop and maintain detailed electrical documentation, including single-line diagrams, control schematics, standard operating procedures, and technical specifications.
• Conduct comprehensive electrical safety audits and implement robust safety protocols to ensure a secure and compliant working environment.
• Partner with project managers and key stakeholders to plan, execute, and deliver capital improvement projects on schedule and within budget constraints.
• Monitor and optimize energy consumption across operations, identifying and implementing efficiency improvements and cost-saving opportunities.
• Stay current with industry best practices, emerging technologies, regulatory requirements, and innovations in electrical systems and industrial automation.
• Ensure adherence to Saudi Arabian electrical standards and international codes, maintaining transparent communication with regulatory bodies and compliance teams.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• 5-10 years of experience in electrical engineering.
• Knowledge of Building Information Modeling (BIM).
