About the Role

WSP is seeking a Senior ELV/ICT Engineer to join its Project Management Consultancy team in Riyadh. This full-time position is integral to a prestigious project, focusing on the comprehensive management, review, and compliance assurance of all Extra Low Voltage (ELV) and Information & Communication Technology (ICT) systems within the infrastructure package. The role ensures strict alignment with project specifications, client requirements, and international standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the design review, coordination, and implementation of various ELV/ICT systems, including CCTV, access control, structured cabling, public address, Building Management System (BMS) integration, and data networks, across the infrastructure package.
  • Ensure that all contractor work adheres strictly to project specifications, relevant industry standards, and client requirements.
  • Review and approve ELV/ICT design drawings, shop drawings, material submittals, and method statements.
  • Coordinate effectively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless integration of ELV/ICT systems with civil, Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP), and architectural works.
  • Monitor site activities, conduct thorough inspections, and raise Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) when necessary to maintain compliance and quality standards.
  • Assist in the timely resolution of technical issues, Requests for Information (RFIs), and design conflicts pertaining to ELV/ICT systems.
  • Support the testing, commissioning, and final handover processes of all ELV/ICT systems.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and site inspectors.
  • Liaise with the client, contractors, and other key stakeholders to ensure smooth communication and timely project delivery.

Required Qualifications

Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, or a closely related engineering discipline.

Experience and Technical Skills

  • A minimum of 15 years of experience in ELV/ICT engineering, with at least 5 years specifically gained within the Middle East region.
  • Strong professional background in large-scale infrastructure projects, including roads, tunnels, bridges, utilities, or smart city developments.
  • Prior experience in Project Management Consultancy (PMC) or other consultancy roles is preferred.
  • In-depth knowledge of international codes and standards relevant to ELV/ICT systems, such as TIA/EIA, BICSI, NFPA, and IEC.
  • Proven experience in managing contractors, conducting comprehensive design reviews, and ensuring project compliance.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills are essential.
  • Professional certifications, including BICSI RCDD or PMP, are considered an advantage.
